In the most recent AP poll taken yesterday, 52% of Americans are against the Obama/Democrat healthcare plan.   So what does Obama do? He speaks to a joint session of Congress and the American public with one of his most partisan speeches to date.   He ridicules the prior administration for cutting taxes and creating jobs while completely ignoring the fact that his economic policy has doubled unemployment since he took office. He pays lip service to tort reform and competition; the two things that could actually lower health insurance costs. Worse yet, he outright lied about what was contained in the 1000+ page document. 

The highlight of the Obama speech was Republican Congressman Joe Wilson who stood up and said, “You lie,” when it was suggested that the bill wouldn’t provide care to illegal aliens.   All the while, Nancy Pelosi could be seen glaring with her aging, hollow eyed hippy, hate filled eyes while Michelle Obama, still not proud of her country, sat idly by shaking her head wondering how someone could dare challenge the messiah.  As it turns out, Wilson is right and Obama did lie.   The unfortunate thing is that Wilson actually apologized for what he characterized as uncivil behavior. The truth is that we need more like Congressman Wilson and we need them to shout from the mountaintops about the every increasing frequency of lies coming out of this administration.  

Watching the speech was like watching an infomercial trying to sell an unwitting audience on losing weight while never leaving their couch.   It is utterly amazing that Obama continues to state that we can all have government healthcare without raising the deficit by one dime.   Right; and I’ve got a few bridges to sell you. The facts just don’t mesh with the rhetoric coming from the Obama administration that has yet to spell out any measures that will be taken to cut costs.

In reviewing this bill (something the mainstream media has yet to do) the fact remains that the government option creates 53 new bureaucracies, all more unaccountable than the ones that exist today.   Obama talked about fixing the problems in Medicare and Medicaid, which have become a cross generational disaster. The bottom line is that he has an agenda which is to create his legacy proving once again that he is more narcissist than president.   He could care less about any one of us, but he must do something to get the egg off of his face in the wake of his poll numbers falling like a rock.  

Proving that he could care less about you or I or especially the aging, he continues to be dogged by the language of Section 1233 which states that advanced care planning consultation shall include five year reviews of options or more frequent for the terminally ill. While they are not called death panels, a review with your doctor of options on sustainability of life could be construed to be just that if the government is forced to ration healthcare, as is the case in every other nation with socialized medicine. 

If government is to provide care with no cost increases to anyone then rationing will be required. They will have to cut expenditures which will be a line item in the annual budget. In other words, bureaucrats will have to make life and death decisions.  

 

Now that the dust has settled and the Bolshevik’s have vacated Chicago’s Grant Park, how do you feel? I’m actually feeling pretty good, not about the outcome of the election nor the realization that Obama won’t be paying my mortgage, but rather about the future of our great nation.   I wonder if Michele Obama feels this good as the stupor of euphoria wears off and the lines of voters gather to collect on promises that simply can’t be fulfilled.

Democrats now control both houses of Congress, but this is no change.   Sure, their majorities have grown, but they are at least not supermajorities as many pundits had anticipated. The executive branch is now in the hands of the most liberal president ever elected who will be in a dire predicament if he doesn’t appease his far left constituents and power brokers. But to do that he will alienate those to whom he promised change, resulting in an inevitably cataclysmic failure.  Either way, someone will be upset and Obama will be called a liar, a sham and a fraud as he is in a no win situation.

It was interesting to watch the world stock markets yesterday, which rallied on the news of an Obama win. From Tokyo to London, investors were ecstatic until it came time for Wall Street to close, with the Dow falling more than it ever had in one single post election day.   Perhaps those closest to Obama foretell the future, which is certainly the first I told you so moment of his term and he is not even in office yet.   Mark my words; we will have many more I told you so moments to come in the next four years which will be the worst four years since Jimmy Carter wrought havoc on our nation. 

So why am I so happy today? Because I recognize that Obama is going to give the mainstream media their wakeup call.   The lifeblood of the media is negative publicity and for the past eight years they have had George W. Bush, a president they singlehandedly made unpopular, to use as their scapegoat.   He’s gone, the Democrats aren’t. Bad news isn’t going away.   In fact it is going to get worse. Who can they possibly blame; their beloved Democrat who control Congress or their messianic, untested, little known President elect. 

For conservatives, I see the best years yet to come.   According to election day data, 33% of voters were self described conservatives, 22% self described liberals.   We had gay marriage bans passed in Arizona, Florida and even the perpetually blue California.   Despite what the pundits think, we are a center right country with the Reagan generation just beginning to reach the peak of our money making years.   As this new generation of power brokers emerges, we will embrace Republicans such as Sarah Palin, Jeff Flake, Mike Pence and Bobby Jindal because they, like us, are true Reagan conservatives who have not lost their direction.

While John McCain is a great human being and America, he was a marginal candidate at best.   Certainly he understands the danger posed by Islamic fascism, but his assaults on free speech and his support of amnesty were always red flags.   In many ways, his losing will turn out to be a long term win as liberals will be exposed for who they really are over the next four years.   We have far too many in the younger generations who don’t understand the grave threat to freedom, liberty and sovereignty posed by liberals who embrace Marxism far too easily.   We have an entire northeast and midwest that are economic basketcases and just so happen to be dominated by liberal politics.   We have a south and mountainwest that continue to thrive and of no surprise are dominated by conservatives.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what is wrong, but it will take four years of bad economic news to wake up the government educated, economically illiterate sheep.

My hope is that the change we can count on begins in Alaska, where Ted Stevens won re-election as a convicted felon and now must resign. Governor Sarah Palin will then be able to call a special election and would win in a landslide.  Let the change begin there and begin a snowball effect that will have liberals and their insidious socialist ideals running for the hills beginning with the 2010 mid-term elections that take place in just 769 days.

A tragedy happened late last night when the United States of America passed away.   The nation that stood as a beacon of light on a hill of hope is no longer. The light has been extinguished and the hill transformed into a smoldering mound of hopelessness and despair as the votes of the sheep have turned the land of opportunity, once regarded for self reliance and rugged individualism into a nanny state where hard work and success are now regarded as criminal.    

Think of how low our nation has stooped in this election.   Can you imagine our parent’s or their parent’s generation electing a president so woefully inexperienced and radical? By his own admission, Barack Obama’s mentors have included Franklin Davis Marshall, an avowed communist, William Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist, Jeremiah Wright, a racist and anti-Semitic preacher, Rashid Khalidi, an Islamic fascist and Tony Rezko, a convicted mobster. 

For the first time in my adult life I am not proud of my country, rather I am disgusted at the complete and utter idiocy of the millions of government educated fools who cast their vote for someone who lacks both the character and the credibility to serve in our nations highest office.  Make no mistake, I am always proud of true American values and those who embody the real America.  However, it is hard to have pride in the economically illiterate masses who have no clue of the true meaning of being an American or the imminent danger to our nation posed by their uninformed vote.  For the first time in history we have a president who has no executive experience, no leadership experience and virtually no legislative accomplishments; but at least his angry and bitter wife can finally be proud of her country, which isn’t our country.   We have a president whose career has consisted of being a community organizer, working with radical special interest groups such as ACORN, a group notorious for voter fraud that in all likelihood played a role in stealing yesterday’s election.

Barack Obama doesn’t like to be cast as a socialist, but that is precisely what he is.   In his own words, he believes in spreading the wealth around.   In the words of Karl Marx, his philosophy is from each according to his abilities, to each according to their means.    His beliefs have been called many things throughout history.   Hitler called them change, Mao called them change, Stalin called them change, Castro called them change, Chavez called them change and now Barack Hussein Obama has called them change. 

What exactly is this change? For the past two years we never heard any details of what his change will entail.   I realize that details are a minor inconvenience, but so is the preservation of our individual liberties and economic freedom.   We know that his change involves confiscation of our wealth and property for the sole purposes of redistribution and expansion of government.   We also know that the young, the dumb and the uninformed gave him a pass to do just that in hopes that he would pay off their mortgages and keep their gas tanks filled. 

Now it is time that we hold him accountable for all of his promises.   In fact, I am sending a monthly invoice for Washington with the expectation that I get a blank check in the mail as a monthly stipend, for it is not fair that I have to work and provide for my family.   I expect the government to pay my mortgage, pay off my car, pay my credit card bills, put food on the table, pay for my cable, cell phone and Blockbuster rentals.   I also expect a monthly stipend to blow as I please on liquor and cigarettes. Not providing this to each and every American makes Obama a liar, as this was what he has promised to do.  

Will he live up to his promises? The answer is absolutely not, as his campaign was as much of a fraud and a sham as he.   Rather he will punish those who can and reward those who can’t. The silver lining is that Obama is transparent, his agenda entirely predictably and the results a proven failure. The next two years will be an economic disaster, but we can sacrifice 770 days if the light at the end of the tunnel is the inevitable extinction of the domestic liberal whose agenda is certain to result in an implosion of epidemic proportions.

The average life expectancy of a free society is approximately 200 years.   Our nation has celebrated freedom for 232 years, although it can be argued this virtue, once an embodiment of our nation, is on life support today.   As the young, the dumb and the uninformed head out to cast their vote for their messiah, I ask you to decide where we are in the cycle of freedom.

Let’s go back to the Stamp Act of 1765 and the Townsend Act of 1767, both moves by the British government to increase taxation on the colonists.   Some colonists, but not most, were angered.   In fact, the anger boiled over in 1773 in an act known as the Boston Tea Party.    Arguably, this was the first move by the colonists, or our forefathers, to restore freedom to their land.  

Clearly we are in a similar set of circumstances today, with an increasingly intrusive government that will have no choice but to increase taxes.   In fact, I will bet my paycheck that we have a 100% chance of seeing a tax increase put forth by the Democrat controlled congress in the next twelve months that will impact everyone who works.   The only chance of a veto is John McCain who sadly, due to the vote of the nanny state portion of the electorate, will be nowhere near the White House.  

Let’s look back at history, for it is the past that foretells the future. In 1773 our nation entered the first phase of a free society as they broke from bondage and moved to spiritual faith, devising a scheme to create one nation under God.   In 1776 the founders moved from spiritual faith to great courage as they picked up arms against the British.    They moved from courage to liberty over the next decade culminating on September 17, 1787, with the signing of the Constitution.  

As our nation embraced liberty, the masses recognized the courage of the few who had risked their freedom, fortunes and lives to bring prosperity to all, which took us to the next phase of our society; abundance.   Over the past two hundred years we became a nation of great abundance which unfortunately led to complacency.   Simply put, we got fat and happy and took our eye off the ball which allowed the government to go unchecked, as a result of the next phase which is apathy. 

Unfortunately, this apathy has led many in our nation into a state of dependence.   The dependence began in the Great Depression, with more and more handouts.   But it is plausible that this dependence goes back even further, to the creation of government schools, which have been used to brainwash and indoctrinate our youth into an acceptance of government control.    This dependence has grown greater as government used Great Society programs to destroy the black family.   They now seek to control our health and well being.   There is no doubt that we are in a full fledged state of dependence which is the next to last phase of any free society.

The final phase is bondage, where the government takes from those who can and gives to those who can’t.   Some call it spreading the wealth around, Karl Marx called it from each according to their abilities to each according to their means.   Throughout history it has been called Marxism, socialism, communism, fascism and today in the United States it is called liberalism.   There is no difference, bondage is bondage and we are now faced with the very situation from which we emerged in the 1770’s.

Back then folks like Adams, Jefferson, Washington, Revere, Franklin and Paine were considered out of the mainstream.   They were viewed by liberals in much the same way as Boortz, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck and millions of fellow conservatives are viewed by liberals today.   Liberals have always hated freedom and demonized those who sought to protect it.   Freedom takes away the power of liberals to control our lives which is the scenario we are once again faced with. Remember, the only greater threat to our freedom than Islamic fascism is domestic liberalism.  

The popularity of someone as unqualified and radical as B. Hussein Obama should call into question the intellect and fundamental acceptance of freedom of each and every person who casts a vote his way.   Put aside his associations with unrepentant terrorists, convicted mobsters, racist preachers and anti-Semitic fascists and look at his views. He loathes our Constitution, the framework of our society, and will appoint judges to undermine this document.   He is the embodiment of everything hard working Americans are against, yet he may very well be our president. 

As we go to the polls today, it is time to understand that voting should be an IQ 80 thing. Look around you and ask yourself how many of those casting ballots know the name of their Congressman, a Supreme Court judge or even our first president. In every state in America one must pass a test to drive, yet anyone can cast their vote which is far more dangerous to our freedom.    Perhaps it is time that we realize that voting, like driving, is a privilege. There is no Constitutional guarantee of the right to vote (Bush v. Gore, 2000) and it is time that we put an end to that myth before we are faced with having a choice of having to live on our knees or die on our feet.

The New Mexico Sun is the first paper in America to declare “Obama Wins” as its headline.   There is no doubt that this will be the headline for a number of newspapers next week. Even if McCain wins, we should fully expect the mainstream media to declare Obama the de facto winner.  

So how will the liberal establishment react if the Chosen One fails to close the deal next Tuesday?   While many polls have him ahead, none have him at 50%.   In fact, most of the reputable polls show a full 10% of voters remain undecided.   Imagine the fallout if the majority of those people wake up in the next week and pull the lever for McCain.  

First, you can expect the media to declare our nation to be inherently racist.   After all, that is the only explanation for our nation not electing a black president.   Of course, it could be that he is a tax and spend, anti-freedom Marxist with ties to radical Islam, unrepentant terrorists and racist reverends but the Treason Times, CNN and the rest will just gloss over that. 

Second, you can expect our cities to burn.   Urban residents from Detroit to Compton will set buildings and cars ablaze to protest how their messiah has been dissed.   Arguably the only upside of an Obama election is that it would finally put race warlords such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson out of business. A loss will leave these racist blowhards with a window of opportunity to purvey their hatred. 

Third, the election will be contested unless every fraudulent ballot from ACORN is counted.   You can bet that states like Ohio and Florida will be in the crosshairs as liberals seek to use judicial activists to declare a victory. 

Anyone dissecting the poll numbers should realize that there is a trend emerging that has to be disturbing to the Obama campaign. The polling conducted typically involves anywhere from 10-20% more Democrats than Republicans.   While this is based on actual voter registration, those pollsters are forgetting that Republicans show up in higher numbers to vote.   Even with the black population that always votes Democrat anyway, this may be an inherent error that is skewing the results in Obama’s favor. 

What will the undecided do on Election Day?   The truth is nobody knows.   The solace is that these people are typically not young or dumb. Rather, they are the uninformed who are seeking to get informed. They have legitimate concerns about Barack Obama’s character and his ability to lead.   They don’t like George Bush and perhaps are turned off by the Republican brand.   But what is worse, holding your nose and voting for McCain or taking a gamble on destroying our nation by voting for an untested, inexperienced community organizer who isn’t fit to be a Wal-Mart greeter let alone Commander in Chief.

It is pretty easy to make the case that Barack Obama wants to win this election. In fact, he has gone so far as to change his entire persona to deceive the American people who would not vote for him if they knew the truth.   Given his ambition, wouldn’t you agree that his internal pollsters would be fairly accurate in their assessment of his chances?

I’m not talking about his personal press secretaries like Couric, Gibson and Williams, but rather those who are actually talking to likely voters. Sure, the aforemention media personalities all have their own agenda, which is why their polls are very different.   You see, they want the average American to think the election is over, but with the internal polls showing it getting tighter the Obama campaign has the need to be concerned. 

Should the rest of us be concerned? While driving home yesterday I counted 48 McCain yard signs and not one for Obama.   I just so happen to live in the swing state of Florida where the mainstream media would have you believe that Obama is ahead in the polls; that would be their biased polls.   Michele Obama was in town yesterday and if it weren’t for the ACORN shuttles from the local soup kitchens, homeless shelters and housing projects it’s fair to say it would have been an empty house.   But hey, gotta get out the vote and vote they did, 73 times each.

Like many Congressional Democrats, Alcee Hastings fits the mold of corruption, immorality and a general misunderstanding of the intentions of our founding fathers. He also has the notoriety of being a former federal judge who was impeached for corruption and perjury and then was elected by people in his Florida district who apparently have a lot in common with the voters who re-elected the crack smoking criminals such as Marion Berry.

As has become par for the course with many liberals, Alcee Hastings has dealt the race card. In a statement before the National Jewish Democratic Council he stated that “If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So you just think this through.”

He then went on to clarify his statements with Obama mouthpiece ABC News claiming that “Palin is an extremely conservative woman who is out of touch with America.” This, of course, coming from a convict who serves asn a member of the Congressional Black Congress which is a group that routinely excludes any patriotic black leader who stands up for their country. Yeah Alcee, this hockey mom who embodies everything that made America great is really out of touch.

Maybe he could have mentioned to the National Jewish Democratic Council that B. Hussein Obama has agreed to meet with Iranian nutjob Mahmoud Ahmedinejad without preconditions. Perhaps the reason Jews aren’t flocking to the son of a Muslim is because his Iranian buddy continues to claim that the Holocaust never occurred and that Israel should be wiped from the face of the earth. I guess that rhetoric is nothing more than words, just words.

With Congressional leadership such as Hastings it is no wonder their approval rating is in the single digits. It is this type of rhetoric that should make us all understand why Congress can get nothing done as they are too busy dealing out the race cards and plying their trade of victimology and entitlementalism in exchange for votes from those who are too pathetically incompetent to do anything without the teat of our nanny state Mother Government.

The saddest thing of all is that someone like Alcee Hastings can even be elected to Congress. Heck, this guy isn’t even fit to be a community organizer. He, like his fellow liberals, need to get beyond the racist zealotry and understand why real Americans don’t like Obama. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin and everything to do with the color of his beliefs which contain no red, white and blue as he is a hammer and sickle through and through.

Elected leaders like Hastings once again reflect why Americans should have to take a test in order to vote. We have to take a test to pass class or to get a driver license, both are far less important than voting. As we watch the Democrats destroy the economy while trying to cover up the mess they created with the Community Reinvestment Act, we should take stock in the very people, most often the uneducated and uninformed, who put them in elected office. If you can’t name the Vice President or your Congressional Rep, you should not be permitted to vote. Then again, if we did that there wouldn’t be any Democrats in Washington for us to expose.

It looks like Michele Hussein Obama, the perpetually bitter American,  is back at it now telling people to not vote for a candidate because she is cute. I wonder to which candidate she is referring?  Perhaps one day the Messiah will realize that the best place for his wife is out of sight and of mind, or perhaps Venezuela or North Korea where her Marxist ideals would be better received. 

In another gaffe, Joe Biden is now claiming that it is patriotic to raise taxes.   To the contrary it should be argued that taxation is tantamount to treason.   Our nation was founded in large part as the result of a tax revolt and it’s high time that we have another gathering to dump tea into the harbor. True patriots understand the role of government and realize the intent of our founding fathers was to limit the extent to which government intruded into our day to day lives.  

If Biden had even a elementary understanding of Economics 101 he would realize that the worst thing that could happen to our economy is a tax increase, which will result in a loss of government revenue and increased unemployment.   Any idiot with a half a brain already knows this yet we have Democrats wanting to do just that.   They continue to pander to the working class with this class warfare rhetoric, which in the end will only hurt the very people they are pretending to care about. 

The Democrat controlled congress is in a panic because they do not understand the first thing about economics. So what’s their solution? Let’s go on break. Yes, let’s play Chicken Little and get out of Washington before the voters realize how stupid we really are. Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid once again showed his complete ineptitude when he said of the financial crisis that “No one knows what do to do.”

I find this rather curious because just yesterday I was listening to speech by John McCain and Sarah Palin who seemed to spell out a plan.   It called for accountability on Wall Street, in Washington and among lobbyists.   This has got to scare the dickens out of many politicians, especially liberals whose lifeblood is special interest contributions. 

Of course the mainstream media doesn’t bother to pick this up as they are too busy with their Democrat counterparts hacking into Sarah Palin’s personal e-mail.   Can you imagine the firestorm that would have erupted if someone had dared do this to Obama or Biden! 

What the media and the public need to focus on is which candidate would more effectively lead our nation through this financial mess.   Obama’s closest economic advisers are Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson, both former heads of the failed and recently bailed out Fannie Mae.  How can Obama go anywhere with a straight face and blame Republicans when his campaign staff is neck deep in this mortgage debacle? It isn’t just Fannie where Obama has a problem, as one his closest political advisers and former Clintonista Rahm Emanuel served on the board of directors at Freddie Mac.  I rest my case. 

Once again the truth becomes an inconvenient fact for liberals which is precisely why their seditious allies in the mainstream media seem to be sweeping issues of concern under the rug. Perhaps as Americans wake up from their nanny state stupor they will begin to realize the potential consequences of an Obama presidency which will destroy our nation for generations to come.

Always on the alert, the Pansy Patrol has found their way to Hilton Head, S.C., where a 4^th grader was suspended for being in possession of a pencil sharpener.   Apparently pencil sharpeners contain razor blades which is against the district’s zero tolerance police. 

Sure, pass out condoms in the lunch line and permit socialist government teachers to rape the minds of our youth but heaven forbid a child try to sharpen their pencil.   The punishment for this crime is a two day suspension with additional penalties being considered by the school board. 

According to district spokesman Randy Wall, speaking on behalf of Hilton Head Island International Baccalaureate Elementary School, the district is stuck in a precarious situation between their zero tolerance of having weapons at school and common sense.   No, sir, you are stuck between having no common sense and complete idiocy, for which the school district is receiving the latest Golden Pansy Award.

The reason I often mention our Pansy Award winners is because their actions reflect a greater cause for concern brought forth by the Democrat Party and liberals in general.   This entire concept of zero tolerance was introduced by liberals who did not want to be accountable for making tough decisions. Look, if you bring an AK 47 to school you should be expelled, but a pencil sharpener or a couple of Tylenol? This is where our tax dollars are being spent and why it is so critical that we bust up the government monopoly on schools.

Emasculated pansy like behavior, otherwise known as political correctness, is one of the greatest threats to our freedom.   B. Hussein Obama, who apparently is enjoying an 80% approval rating in the Middle East, wants to create an environment that would foster more of this Marxism.   John McCain and Sarah Palin have taken a clear stand on the side of freedom, which is the natural enemy of political correctness. 

It is incumbent upon us, as the purveyors of common sense in our society, to make Americans understand that their vote goes well beyond the rhetoric of empty suits speaking in front of Greco facades in football stadiums.   This is about the future of our nation and what we leave behind for our children.   It is about more than one’s position on the War on Terror or what color lipstick we put on a pig. 

We are a republic of law, not a democracy of man, as liberals would have you believe. The approval rating of Obama in Germany has no bearing on the outcome of our election, as the mainstream media would have you believe.   It is up to you and I to do our job of electing electors who will cast their votes in the Electoral College, which is how presidents are chosen in this land.   We have a civic responsibility to take this challenge seriously and to educate those less informed than us of the gravity of the situation at hand.  

B. Hussein Obama has the most liberal voting record in the Senate, Joe Biden is #3.   This type of extremism is what has brought about bans on dodge ball and tag in schools. This is why we have banned the Bible but permit programs like Campus Condoms for Kids.   Obama promotes sex education for kindergartners but not the death penalty for child rapists.   Ebonics education, promotion of homosexual curriculum and abortions in the school nurses office are what liberals mean when talk of giving more power to government schools.  

As a nation we need to take our schools back and the only way to achieve this is to keep liberals out of office. We need to elect people that understand the failure of government, who can put forth an alternative system that puts parents in charge of tuition tax dollars.   Perhaps now you see that our attacks of pansies, while on the surface may be somewhat silly, they actually have a much deeper meaning as the sinister behavior enabled by liberals is precisely what is undermining our nation.

Overt sexism in the media has become evident.   If B. Hussein Obama had put Hillary Clinton on his ticket, would this sexism still be evident? Arguably not, as Sarah Palin may not have been a consideration for John McCain.   The irony of that entire political picture is that the analogy of putting lipstick on a pig wouldn’t have ever been raised although it would have been entirely more appropriate.  

What has happened as the result of Obama forgoing the former first lady, who is as eminently unqualified as he, is the awakening of a sleeping giant.   The millions of Americans who comprise the silent majority who are generally too busy with careers and families to pay much attention to politics are suddenly galvanizing behind one of their own.  

Liberals are fit to be tied that the first lady to reach the White House may now be a female, which of course is for selfish reasons. In the teachings of left wing feminism the one valid theory is that radicalism is the quickest way to change.   What they seem to forget is that conservatism tells people that it is acceptable to change.  

Hillary Clinton is a prime example of what American’s don’t want; an Ivy league educated, narcissistic, power hungry, shrill socialist. She has negative ratings higher than her positive ratings driven in large part by her twisted ideology and shady past dealings.   On the opposite end of the spectrum we have a hockey mom who went to a state university.   She began her career in the PTA, then as mayor and finally as governor of the largest state in the nation. She is not shrill and clearly not in politics out of narcissistic necessity.   She knows what it is like to balance the family budget because she has done it.   She is one of us, a member of the sleeping giant silent majority.   Liberals don’t get and it’s beginning to show in the polls. 

Until Palin was added to the ticket this election was about more of the same, regardless of who won. John McCain has been a Washington insider for more than twenty years.   Certainly Obama likes to claim that he is an outsider, but the reality is he chose a running mate who has been in Washington for longer than McCain.   Making matters worse, Obama is a creation of the Chicago political machine which is arguably the only political enterprise in the nation that is more corrupt than Washington, D.C. 

It was GOP vs. DNC talking points; do we surrender to Islamic fascists and socialize medicine or do we cut taxes and grow the economy.   Now all bets are off because a true outsider has gotten onto the ticket.   This outsider balanced the budget in Alaska because that’s precisely what she did at her home in Wasilla. She recognized waste, so she put the state jet on e-bay. She felt the struggles of Alaskans so she increased their energy dividends.   The leer jet liberals don’t understand this because they don’t understand real Americans.  

Sure, they have their standard constitutents; comprised of the folks in the housing projects waiting for another handout and illegals waiting for amnesty.   They have their core supporters of trial lawyers who ply their trade of victimology and elitist academics who rape the minds of our youth in government classrooms. But besides this, what do they have?

The answer is a dwindling popularity as Obama and his flock in the biased liberal media tries to paint Palin as a pig which has caused the silent majority to rise up and lash back.   The message to Obama is if you are going to call someone a pig, perhaps you should find someone more fitting (there are plenty who fit the bill in the Democrat Party).   But do us all a favor and continue with the name calling and false accusations because with each passing day, the ticket that now represents real Americans is gaining steam.   Maybe Joe Biden was right when he said you goofed with your VP selection.   Then again, I wouldn’t want to walk backwards through every door for the next four years either.

Isn’t it interesting how the mainstream media knows no bounds in their 24/7 attacks on VP nominee Sarah Palin.   First she was unqualified, then she was corrupt, then she lied about the birth of her child, then she wasn’t vetted properly and now she is sounding like a broken record.   This, of course, from the same media who has never once questioned any position, ideal or association of their messiah Obama.  

The mainstream media has gone so far as to report stories coming from the left wing anti-American blogosphere without any foundation or merit, which in the real world would be tantamount to libel.   Each and every story has proven to be false.   The latest media hype is to jump on Palin because she continues to use the same soundbytes throughout her campaign.  

Think about this for a second, she goes to Columbus and gives a speech and then gives the same speech in Pittsburgh. Imagine the audacity of sharing the same message with two completely different audiences.   Of course all politicians do it, including the Chosen One who has parted the waters with a message of “change you can count on” for the past eighteen months but has never been accused of being a broken record. 

The truth is the media has run out of attacks so they are finding little nuances in the campaign that can be used against Sarah Palin.   They have perhaps discovered that gender is off limits after seeing an incredible backlash from their initial attempts to play that card.    They can’t attack her experience, as she has more than Apollo Obama himself.   They can’t attack her children. They can’t attack her for firing a state trooper who just so happened to have threatened her husbands life and tasered her 10 year old nephew.   They are fit to be tied as her popularity continues to soar despite their throwing everything but the kitchen sink in her face. 

So what next? It is being reported that a team of 30 lawyers and investigators have been sent to Alaska to turn up anything they can possible find.   Perhaps there was a parking ticket in Wasilla in 1984. Maybe there is a leash law violation.   If enough bribes are handed out they are certain to find someone who will lie about something.   Don’t underestimate these people who learned all of their dirty tricks from the Clinton’s.  

So far McCain and Palin have stayed above the fray and stayed on message.   The media obviously wants them to change the message creating an even more compelling case to continue using key phrases comparing mayors to community organizers and reminding the world that the difference is that mayors actually have responsibilities.  

 

John McCain may not have the eloquence of B. Hussein Obama, but his acceptance speech had substance, something grossly lacking when the Chosen One stood before the Greek columns just one week ago.   What John McCain lacks in oratorical skills he certainly made up for in ideology, achievement and vision.   He clearly has differentiated himself from the Obama campaign which is proving to be more of the same failed tax and spend liberalism. 

I was particularly impressed that McCain took on the failing government schools.   While Obama and his fellow liberals see the solution as giving the unions more power, McCain wants to end union power and put control where it belongs; with parents.   McCain spoke of blacks getting equal access to schools and insightfully pointed out that this really isn’t success if that access is to a failing school.   The unions have got to be scared to death of John McCain because his plan to give power to the people will result in the destruction of the largest union in America.   That, my friends, is a good thing. 

It was interesting to see how McCain stepped up to admit that Republicans have failed in Washington because they let Washington change them.   It takes a real man to admit when he was wrong, which Barack Appollo Obama refuses to do when discussing the highly successful troop surge which he voted against. While many conservatives, myself included, don’t agree with McCain on every issue it is growing ever more difficult to not admire him for his courage and independence. Again, this is a good thing that is going to really hurt liberals this fall.  

The picture was painted of a man who wants to go to Washington to fix a broken system who is running against the status quo.   John McCain is something of a renegade in today’s politics which is a stark contrast to The Messiah, a picture perfect empty suit created by the Democrat political machine that has run organized corruption and crime in Chicago for decades.   Obama is fed his talking points like a baby is fed from a bottle. He reads his masterfully scripted soaring rhetoric from a teleprompter as if he were auditioning for a Hollywood movie.   Despite this irrefutable fact, he has millions of sheep following him to the shining light at the end of the tunnel.   Sadly his followers are too ignorant to recognize that the light is a train that will decimate our economy and our nation.  

Obama is finally being asked the tough questions that the mainstream media has refused to ask for the last two years.   It is coming to light that Obama was a senator for 143 days when he announced his run for presidency. While he has written two memoirs he has never brought forth meaningful legislation.    America now knows that his thin resume consists of an elitist Ivy league education and activism as a race baiting community organizer.   In other words, he has done nothing worthwhile in his entire life but according to US magazine is happily married. That would be to a woman who has never been proud of her nation. 

So from one small town American who clings to my guns and religion to another it is time that we do the job the media refuses to do.   We all know people who are economically illiterate and politically uninformed.   We need to reach out to those people and explain what an Obama presidency will mean to the future of our nation.   We need to challenge them to explain why they support a candidate with less experience than Sarah Palin had while running the PTA.   We need to openly question Obama's associations with racist reverends, racist organizations, communist sympathizers and unrepentent terrorists.  If people are challenged to think, they will inevitably get the picture. 

John McCain is promising tax cuts, Obama tax increases.   McCain wants to win the war on Islamic fascism, Obama wants to surrender.   McCain wants to drill here and now as well as take an all of the above approach to energy independence; Obama wants to transfer our wealth to rogue nations who hate our guts.   McCain wants to open up new markets for goods and services; Obama wants more government regulation and less economic freedom.   McCain’s plans will expand our economy which will result in more government revenue, lower taxes and more jobs.   Obama will raise taxes out of a misguided sense of fairness and class envy which will reduce government revenue, contract the economy and result in jobs being sent overseas.  

Once Americans are presented with the facts, inconvenient as they may be for liberals, they will make the right choice.   Certainly there will be those amongst us who choose to remain economically illiterate and the reality is they would vote for Osama Bin Laden if he had a D after his name.   What they are getting instead is Obama Bin Biden.   You tell me, what’s the difference?

By most accounts, the speech by Sarah Palin was an overwhelming success.   Quite honestly, that is an understatement as this candidate hit the ball out of the park.   For having no experience, as the media claims, she stood in front of an audience of millions and wowed people from coast to coast. 

 

There was no soaring rhetoric, no Hollywood props and no stadium filled with kool aid drinking kooks.   Rather, there was one woman who got into politics for all of the right reasons taking on an establishment filled with politicians who got into politics for all of the wrong reasons. 

 

At times she was witty, at times charming and at times brilliant.   She mixed a tale of family with a tale of success that every sane person in America can relate to.   She is a mother who got into the PTA to fix the schools.  She got into elected leadership to fix a town and then a politically corrupt state.   The reality is her executive experience in the PTA is more extensive than anything B. Hussein Obama has ever done in his life.  The fact that she is now governor of the largest state in the union should take the experience issue off the table as Obama’s lack thereof pales in comparison. 

 

The reason that Americans are flocking to Sarah Palin is because she is one of us.  She is not an Ivy League educated elitist or member of the college debate team.  She is a gritty woman from Middle America with Middle American values.  Like those of us who share her values, she is proud of her nation; not for the first time in her adult life but each and every second of each and every day. 

 

Considering the values and common interests that Palin shares with the real Americans who live east of the Sierras and west of the Hudson, I guess it should come as no surprise that the media despises her just as they despise you and I.   There hypocrisy and double standard is becoming more and more evident as they assail Palin for her lack of experience yet have never raised that issue with regard to Obama.   They have questioned Palin’s involvement in the firing of a state trooper who just so happened to be tasering her nephew with state issued weapons but they have never asked Obama about his associations with racists reverends and unrepentant terrorists.  

 

The media has done everything in their power to assassinate the character of Sarah Palin and her entire family.   They have libelously assaulted her teenage daughter and continue to report a DUI that her husband had 22 years ago, which by the way was about the same time that Obama was abusing cocaine and marijuana.   What next, front page stories of the Palin’s dog getting a citation for violating a leash law? 

 

The attacks will continue to rise because the apple cart of the liberal establishment has been turned upside down.   Feminists, who years ago burned bras for the right to gain access to what Palin has achieved are beside themselves because she bucked their liberal agenda.   Rather than relying on government set asides and handouts, she earned her success with hard work and determination, two very evil concepts in the world of liberalism.  

 

Liberals have cause for concern because their messiah may no longer be a certainty.   They are now faced with a young, articulate and attractive woman who will shatter the glass ceiling that has kept feminists in their place.   The reason the glass will now shatter is because Palin is not a feminist with a radical agenda.   She is one of us who American men will defend because she reminds us of our wives, daughters, sisters and mothers.  She has the qualities that have always been lacking in the feminist movement.   She understands that respect is earned and is not some type of set aside program.  She realizes that Washington is broken and to the dismay of liberals she is going to fix it.   She recognizes that rugged individualism and self reliance, not higher taxes and more government, is what truly made America great.  

 

It is almost humorous to watch the mainstream media coming completely unhinged over Sarah Palin.   Certainly there is an element of left wing bias as any McCain running mate would have faced intense scrutiny and tough questions from the very folks who have given Obama and his sordid history a complete pass.   More concerning is the overt sexism that dogged Hillary in the spring and has become even more prevalent today. 

Once again we are witnessing the hypocrisy that has become the calling card of liberals who supposedly stand up for the oppressed females.   After all, wasn’t it liberals who created the concept of feminism which created a sense of being and self importance for women, in particular ugly women? 

Sarah Palin embodies all of the reasons that feminism has failed.   She was a star athlete and beauty queen who married her high school sweetheart and then challenged the good ol’ boy network of Alaskan politics.   She did this without the help of NOW or the radical feminist agenda.   Rather, she is a proud wife and mother and lifelong member of the NRA.   She has achieved the feminist utopia without being a radical, left wing liberal which is precisely why she is being tarnished.  

Sarah Palin has become the Clarence Thomas of 2008.   If you recall, there were similar smears against Thomas by civil rights groups because he wasn’t black enough. Of course these same hypocrites are in the tank for Obama who is only half as black as Clarence Thomas. The difference is Obama supports their self serving agenda of race baiting politics unlike Clarence Thomas who supported freedom and individualism. 

It will be interesting to see how these attacks escalate as Palin tells us her life story which will resonate with voters in states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan.   The media will certainly continue to challenge her experience without acknowledging the hypocrisy of never mentioning Obama’s lack thereof.   They will mistakenly turn this into a race of a number one against a number two and will place race over sex which is a big mistake in a nation that is only 12% black but 51% female.  

Many Hillary supporters will turn out to vote for Palin because of the historical context of this election. Regardless of party affiliation, shattering the glass ceiling is something that is now within their grasp.   Making matters worse for Democrats, this VP candidate may have sealed up the white male vote, in particular union members who will likely buck the edicts of the union bosses and cross over to vote for the GOP ticket.      

What Palin brings to the table is a political paradigm from outside the beltway. She may not have the years of experience of governing that Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan brought with them when elected but she does have common sense and sound judgment.  She has experience governing the largest state in the nation, bordered on the east by Canada and the west by Russia, which is certainly more experience than B. Hussein Obama has as a community organizer.
