Liberals in Congress are apparently working to pass new taxes to combat obesity. Go figure, the same group that created the entitlement class with food stamps, welfare checks and free satellite TV to watch reruns of Jerry Springer now wants to tax the very constitutents who put them in office.   Are they afraid that the folks from whom they routinely purchase votes will get so fat and lazy that they won’t be able to make it to the voting booth? Maybe they should give them free scooters from the Scooter Store!

According to recent reports, the CDC is working closely with Congressional liberals to push through a three cent tax on soda. Seriously, do they really thing three cents is going to have any impact on obesity in America. My guess is that this move is part of a bigger ploy to further take over greater aspects of our lives. 

Liberals created the insidously un-American concept of political correctness to control what we say. They are pushing laws to ban our right to defend our homes and families from criminals.   The Fairness Doctrine is being pushed as a way to silence dissent on talk radio.   They now own our banks and our auto makers. They soon will tell us what doctor we can see; when, where and how often.   Now they want to tell us what we can eat. Imagine another four years of Obama’s hope and change:

Pizza Guy: Thank you for calling Papa John’s, can I have your phone number?

You: 555-1212

Pizza Guy: What can I get for you tonight?

You: I’ll have two large pizzas, one with the works and the other with pepperoni.

Pizza Guy: Sorry, according to the CDC records you have high cholesterol. How about a salad.

You: No, I really want a pizza. 

Pizza Guy: No can do, the government says you are too fat. I am only authorized to sell you a salad.

You: Fine, I’ll just call Domino’s.

Pizza Guy: You can’t do that. It’s now in the system that you attempted to order fatty foods and if you try again you could be arrested by the food police.

What truly is amazing are the sheeple who can’t see through this charade, where Stalin and Marx have been reincarnated in the form of the Obamamessiah who seemingly walks on water to the dumb and ignorant in our midst. At any other time in history the actions we are seeing in Washington would have resulted in an all out revolt by the people. Then again, what we are witnessing is the result of 200 years of government using education as a tool to indoctrinate the masses.

On the First Day, the messiah flubs the oath of office while the Wall Street referendum results in a 322 point, record setting drop.   On Day Two, we come to find out that jobless claims are the highest in 26 years. Day Three results in new construction being at the lowest point since 1959. I'm just going out on a limb, but my guess is Day Four won't result in the creation of the sun and moon, aligning the stars and seasons in perfect harmony.  So much for parting the skies and walking on water; this is more like the coming of Satan.

After all, would anyone but Satan himself risk the lives of Americans by closing the Guantanamo Bay Country Club?  What kind of message does this send to our enemy who are celebrating this decision in caves from Kabul to Karachi.  I'm sure they have already had their share of laughts as we doled out prayer rugs, Korans, cable television or burqua clad prostitutes to their incarcerated jihadist brethren who have no regard for freedom or our way of life.  But, this is justice in the eyes of liberals whose only true regret is that there was not more carnage by these goons on 9/11. 

So what will the president of the ignorant portion of the electorate do with these enemies? Does he intend to bring them to the United States and give them access to our courts?   Are they going to be the beneficiaries of our tax dollars? Isn’t there something truly sick and twisted about our paying to defend those who seek to annihilate us? Then again this should come as no surprise as liberals have long slept with the enemy. 

Here’s another example of how Obama could gain praise and respect.   Rather than coddling our enemy, kill them.   How about we strike a compromise; you get to close Club Gitmo and we get to kill the terrorists. In fact, let’s make it a pay per view event with all proceeds going to those who lost loved ones on 9/11. But alas, killing criminals wouldn’t be morally right because in the eyes of liberals the only ones worthy of a death sentence are innocent little children. 

This charade under the guise of hope and change will continue until America wakes up, but they won’t. They are too busy watching American Idiot and getting their news from ET, Oprah and The View.   They actually think that Obama is here to solve their problems. I guess this is understandable when we have a president who mistakenly believes that government is the solution to all when in fact government is the root cause of all that troubles us today.  

 

Perhaps a story that is bigger than the Big 3 lining up at the trough is the State of California, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. The Democrat controlled assembly and Governor Schwarzenegger are pushing for tax increases which are currently being blocked by a small, but vocal Republican minority.   California is days away from having their credit rating cut and is resorting to paying bills in warrants instead of cash.  

I’m not sure why nobody in Sacramento gets this, but why not just cut out the insidious funding of education, healthcare and welfare for illegals? If California would immediately cut off all of the aforementioned wasteful benefits there would be no budget issue. If they would make their land so inhospitable to criminal aliens they would most certainly see their deficit turn into a surplus as achieving residents and businesses may actually return to the Golden State instead of packing their bags and moving to Nevada. 

Why is it so hard for elected officials, across the fruited plain, to see the simple solutions that could fix our economy in time for Christmas? Could it be that the economic illiteracy of liberals and their blind quest for power are standing in the way of saving America? I certainly don’t have a PhD in economics, I am not a Wharton grad and certainly can’t part the waters like the Messiah, but if I can figure it out why can’t they?    

If we were to do the following ten things, the economy would recover instantaneously:

1)      Repeal the Federal Personal and Corporate Income Tax and all withholding.

2)      Replace these taxes with the Fair Tax.

3)      Demand that Congress leave their leer jets at home and opt out of their retirement and medical plans and use the same plans they are created for the rest of us.  

4)      Demand that Iraq repay us a debt of gratitude with $100 billion dollars worth of oil and oil futures.   If the Somali pirates can do it, so can our pirates inside the beltway. 

5)      Eliminate all earmarks forever more.   No more buying votes with ridiculous pet projects.   Anyone violating this will immediately be impeached from office. 

6)      Privatize social security and let people invest their own money. Even with today’s terrible performance on Wall Street we would see better results than the pathetic returns provided by our unaccountable federal bureaucrats. 

7)      Demand that the Big 3 file Chapter 11 bankruptcy and reorganize as non union shops. 

8)      Implement tort reform to eliminate frivolous lawsuits and have loser pay laws requiring the lawyer to pay judgments on behalf of client’s who bring such actions. 

9)      Bar anyone from casting ballots federal, state or local elections if they don’t have an IQ of at least 80, have a photo ID and pay taxes. 

10) Stop all funding for the education, healthcare and welfare of illegal aliens.

Like I said, it’s simple.   I get it, you get it and so does every American with an ounce of common sense. But for some reasons the American hating left doesn’t get it. Instead they would rather lecture us on what is and is not best for us. If they don’t know what is best for our nation then they certainly don’t know what is best for us. 

The following is an article from the Wall Street Journal, an organization with just a wee bit more credibility than the Treason Times or the Clinton News Network. It's long, but worth the read.

Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home.

The Obama campaign has struggled to downplay that association. Last April, Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis." Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the CAC. Those archives are housed in the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago and I've recently spent days looking through them.

The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was created ostensibly to improve Chicago's public schools. The funding came from a national education initiative by Ambassador Walter Annenberg. In early 1995, Mr. Obama was appointed the first chairman of the board, which handled fiscal matters. Mr. Ayers co-chaired the foundation's other key body, the "Collaborative," which shaped education policy.

The CAC's basic functioning has long been known, because its annual reports, evaluations and some board minutes were public. But the Daley archive contains additional board minutes, the Collaborative minutes, and documentation on the groups that CAC funded and rejected. The Daley archives show that Mr. Obama and Mr. Ayers worked as a team to advance the CAC agenda.

One unsettled question is how Mr. Obama, a former community organizer fresh out of law school, could vault to the top of a new foundation? In response to my questions, the Obama campaign issued a statement saying that Mr. Ayers had nothing to do with Obama's "recruitment" to the board. The statement says Deborah Leff and Patricia Albjerg Graham (presidents of other foundations) recruited him. Yet the archives show that, along with Ms. Leff and Ms. Graham, Mr. Ayers was one of a working group of five who assembled the initial board in 1994. Mr. Ayers founded CAC and was its guiding spirit. No one would have been appointed the CAC chairman without his approval.

The CAC's agenda flowed from Mr. Ayers's educational philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of activism. In the mid-1960s, Mr. Ayers taught at a radical alternative school, and served as a community organizer in Cleveland's ghetto.

In works like "City Kids, City Teachers" and "Teaching the Personal and the Political," Mr. Ayers wrote that teachers should be community organizers dedicated to provoking resistance to American racism and oppression. His preferred alternative? "I'm a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist," Mr. Ayers said in an interview in Ron Chepesiuk's, "Sixties Radicals," at about the same time Mr. Ayers was forming CAC.

CAC translated Mr. Ayers's radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with "external partners," which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).

Mr. Obama once conducted "leadership training" seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama's early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC's in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement.

CAC also funded programs designed to promote "leadership" among parents. Ostensibly this was to enable parents to advocate on behalf of their children's education. In practice, it meant funding Mr. Obama's alma mater, the Developing Communities Project, to recruit parents to its overall political agenda. CAC records show that board member Arnold Weber was concerned that parents "organized" by community groups might be viewed by school principals "as a political threat." Mr. Obama arranged meetings with the Collaborative to smooth out Mr. Weber's objections.

The Daley documents show that Mr. Ayers sat as an ex-officio member of the board Mr. Obama chaired through CAC's first year. He also served on the board's governance committee with Mr. Obama, and worked with him to craft CAC bylaws. Mr. Ayers made presentations to board meetings chaired by Mr. Obama. Mr. Ayers spoke for the Collaborative before the board. Likewise, Mr. Obama periodically spoke for the board at meetings of the Collaborative.
The Obama campaign notes that Mr. Ayers attended only six board meetings, and stresses that the Collaborative lost its "operational role" at CAC after the first year. Yet the Collaborative was demoted to a strictly advisory role largely because of ethical concerns, since the projects of Collaborative members were receiving grants. CAC's own evaluators noted that project accountability was hampered by the board's reluctance to break away from grant decisions made in 1995. So even after Mr. Ayers's formal sway declined, the board largely adhered to the grant program he had put in place.

Mr. Ayers's defenders claim that he has redeemed himself with public-spirited education work. That claim is hard to swallow if you understand that he views his education work as an effort to stoke resistance to an oppressive American system. He likes to stress that he learned of his first teaching job while in jail for a draft-board sit-in. For Mr. Ayers, teaching and his 1960s radicalism are two sides of the same coin.

Mr. Ayers is the founder of the "small schools" movement (heavily funded by CAC), in which individual schools built around specific political themes push students to "confront issues of inequity, war, and violence." He believes teacher education programs should serve as "sites of resistance" to an oppressive system. (His teacher-training programs were also CAC funded.) The point, says Mr. Ayers in his "Teaching Toward Freedom," is to "teach against oppression," against America's history of evil and racism, thereby forcing social transformation.
The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming "guilt by association." Yet the issue here isn't guilt by association; it's guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago.

 

With all of the issues on Wall Street have you noticed how quick the mainstream media and liberals are to point the finger at corporate greed and the Bush Administration?   The reality is we are once again facing a crisis created by liberal idealism that can be traced back to a Clinton mandate that anyone who wants a home is to get a home regardless of credit worthiness.  

This utopian vision may work out quite well in the Communist Manifesto but the reality is it has failed our nation and resulted in some of the biggest financial failings in history.   However, this is the credo of Democrats because they live for crisis and failure because it generates negative news and fosters a culture of victimology.  

In steps B. Hussein Obama, our messiah and savior who is going to part the waters and make everything alright.   He has already put together an ad blaming John McCain and George Bush for a financial crisis that was actual brought about by failed liberalism. 

Historically it takes at least a decade for the failure of liberalism to surface. Look at the War on Poverty, the Great Society or School Bussing. All were abysmal failures that have seriously decimated our society.   Next take a look at the failure of social security or elder health care. In the housing market take a look at Fannie or Freddie with their government guarantees on loans simply because of the color of ones skin. All failures as the result of onerous government rules and regulation. 

In this election we have a candidate who believes that this is the type of change that we need.   He got his start as a community organizer under the tutelage of Saul Alinsky, an avowed communist.   Alinsky’s approach to achieving domestic Marxism was somewhat different than other radicals, as he was not vocal. Rather, he wanted to covertly enter into and take over established institutions, as has been achieved in government academia.  

Liberalism and Chicago are synonymous and Obama became the standard bearer for the Chicago political machine which runs the most corrupt city in the nation. Since January there have been 292 murders in this city compared to 221 in Iraq.   Illinois has a $44 billion dollar debt on their state pension fund yet Obama made millions in shady land deals with convicted felon Tony Rezko.   Chicago has a 10.25% sales tax to fund these politicians who have unfettered access to a culture of crime and corruption. 

Failed liberalism is the political culture of B. Hussein Obama who understands the Alinsky model of playing the game, infiltrating and destroying a sector of the capitalist enterprise. This is precisely the game that is being played in the financial markets as the government gets more and more involved.   

Once could argue that the fed should be commended for their lending AIG a helping hand in the time of need.   They could, but wouldn’t the better argument be that AIG would never have been in trouble had it not been for intrusive government?  

   

Inevitably all things become racist, at least in the eyes of race baiting politicians and pundits.   Such is the case with James Clyburn, a South Carolina Democrat who is now claiming that global warming disproportionately impacts black people.   Perhaps the only things dumber than this statement are the people who actually elected him to office.

As anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows, man made global warming is a hoax being perpetrated by those with an anti-capitalist agenda.   The mere reason that liberals refuse to enter into a dialogue about climate change is because the facts stand in the way of their fiction.  

The truth is that the temperature of the earth has changed for billions of years.   In fact, the hottest year on record in the last century was 1934 which paled in comparison to 1300 when Vikings were able to cultivate land in Greenland.   What liberals don’t want you to know is that the warmest period ever noted was in 1100 B.C. during the Hebrew exodus from Egypt.   Perhaps if the Hebrews had been driving those evil SUV’s they would find reason to acknowledge this little known fact, but they weren’t so they don’t.   

The current temperature of the earth is 58 degrees, which is one degree above average.   Interestingly there has been a corresponding one degree increase in temperature on Mars, Neptune and several of the moons surrounding Saturn.   Perhaps B. Hussein Obama could explain to the millions of morons who view him as their Savior how this could be possible.   Then again, why let the inconvenient facts get in the way of his reading science fictions speeches from the teleprompter. 

There is one common denominator that has governed climate since the beginning of time. It has nothing to do with SUV’s, plastic bags or light bulbs but rather solar activity.   Imagine that, the sun wreaking havoc on our climate. But if it’s the sun, that would mean that there is nothing that our nanny state liberals can do, as sun spots are beyond their control.   Maybe it’s time for them to sit down and do something that matters, like drilling for oil, defeating Islamic fascism or sealing up our border.  

But alas, that wouldn’t be like a liberal to do something to benefit our country, so instead they come up with the biggest hoax in history and rely on the fact that the majority of Americans are stupid enough to fall for it.   Guess what, they were right and they are banking on this complete and utter ignorance of reality to keep them in power this November.

As mounting evidence begins to unravel their science fiction charade, they are now playing the victimization card.   They will do what they do best; create a subculture of people who are the victims of capitalism and success.   Throughout history they have used their full house of race cards, gender cards and class warfare cards to vilify real Americans, so why should today be any different.  

 

Don’t you find the polls to be just fascinating as the media fawns over the Chosen One with claims of 6 to 9 point leads?   Interestingly, when polls include registered voters, the lead is so small that it isn’t even within the margin of error. Add to that those evil pollsters who include only those likely to vote and McCain suddenly has a lead. 

It strikes me that there is an overt conspiracy between pollsters employed by the mainstream media to dupe Americans into thinking that an O?ama victory is imminent. Isn’t this par for the course from the same folks who called Florida for Al Gore an entire hour before the polls closed so as to suppress the votes in extremely conservative panhandle counties, which just so happen to be an hour behind the rest of the state.  

The left wing media has made their mind up as to who will win this year’s election. They could care less that Obama lacks any credentials whatsoever to be president.   They could care less that he will give a blank check to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to destroy our nation. They never mention that the current Democrat Congress has an approval rating of just 9%; making them far more unpopular than the President that they claim is the most unpopular in history.  

Has the mainstream media ever mentioned any position that Obama has ever taken on any issue? Have they told Americans that he voted AGAINST making English the official language but voted FOR giving social security benefits to criminal aliens? Did they ever mention that Obama’s entire tenure in the Senate is 171 days which for the most part has been spent campaigning for a job that he is imminently unqualified for? How many people know that Obama’s work experience prior to the Senate included being a community organizer, whatever the heck that is, and a Civil Rights attorney which is basically a racist with a law degree.  

So why won’t the media share these tidbits with the general public? Perhaps they understand that Obama has fooled a great many young, dumb and generally uninformed Americans into thinking he is something that he is not. How many Obama supporters can name one piece of legislation that he has sponsored? How many know where he stands on issues of national security or economic policy?  

While Obama has stated that he will support socialized medicine, has he ever said how he will pay for this trillion dollar proposition? How can anyone in their right mind support letting the government be the stewards of our well-being after watching them bankrupt social security and Medicare while systematically destroying our public education system? 

After only two years under Democrat control, we have seen the price of food and energy skyrocket as the result of a foolish energy policy coupled with the largest tax increase in history.   We have seen millions lose their jobs as the result of a mandatory wage increase that forced small businesses to cut back employees.
